How does the charity part of the gala work?

Profits from ticket sales and all proceeds from the silent auction are donated directly to that year's chosen nonprofit after the gala.

Do you have to be a witch to attend?

Nope! Anyone who enjoys Halloween, festive fun, and having a good time is welcome to attend!

Is there a dress code?

Yes, this is a formal/semi-formal masquerade ball. What that means is either a classy, high-end type costume, or formal/semi-formal evening wear or cocktail attire. Ball gowns, cocktail dresses, tuxedos, slacks and tie, or any business casual with a masque would be appropriate.

Jeans, shorts, sneakers, and t-shirts are NOT ALLOWED. Low-brow or overtly obnoxious costumes will also not be allowed.


If you show up in inappropriate attire you will not be allowed in and your ticket(s) will not be refunded.

Why is there a dress code?

Our attendees put a lot of time, effort, and expense into their costumes and outfits for the evening and therefore we expect everyone to show the same respect and enthusiasm.


Costumes aren't required, but are heavily encouraged! Formal or semi-formal IS required.


Please do not show up in inappropriate attire because you will be denied entrance and you will not be refunded.

Is there an age restriction?

Yes. This is an adults-only event, ages 19+. A cash bar is available to those 21+ only. Free soft drinks and water will be provided for all guests.

What kind of food will there be?

There will be several varieties of hors d'oeuvres served throughout the evening. We will also provide vegetarian and gluten-free options.

Is there a theme?

Yes, each year's gala will gave a different theme.

Should I bring cash or a credit card to the event?

We recommend it. There will be a cash bar, merchandise and memorabilia for purchase, a silent auction, and those reading in the Hall of Oracles do appreciate tips for a job well done!

The 2018 Gala is being held at the DC Centre in Omaha, Nebraska, USA.
